For light and TV, Biya checks the meter or smart card first and shows you the name on it.

What Claude cannot do

  • Send transfers or make withdrawals.
  • Pay by card. Every purchase comes from your Biya wallet.
  • See your card or bank details.
  • Press Confirm for you.

Claude can ask Biya for a price. It cannot press Confirm. When you link it, you choose how purchases are approved.

  • The default

    Ask me in my Biya chat every time

    Each purchase comes to your Biya chat on Telegram, Messenger or Slack, and you approve it there. If you use only web chat, it comes by email, with a link to a Biya approval page.

  • Your limits

    Approve in Claude

    Set a limit per purchase, from ₦5,000 to ₦500,000, and a limit per day. A purchase within both shows the Biya card inside Claude, for any number. Tap Confirm and it is paid. A new number shows “First time paying this number”.

  1. Above either limit, or where Claude cannot show the card, your Biya chat asks you instead. Web chat customers get an email.
  2. Limits only go up in your Biya chat: Settings, then Approve in Claude, with a code sent to your email. Linking Claude can only keep or lower them.
  3. Claude can set up, list, pause, resume and cancel schedules: weekly or monthly, with an end date up to 12 months away. Each one is approved in your Biya chat, or by email.
  4. When Claude is linked, Biya tells you in your chat and by email. You can unlink it any time.

How to set it up

Four steps.
Done once.

  1. Have a Biya account

    You need Biya on Telegram, Messenger, Slack or web chat, with money in your wallet. Fund it by bank transfer from any bank. New to Biya? Say hi and follow the steps:

  2. Add Biya to Claude

    In Claude on the web or desktop, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Name it Biya and paste this address:

    Once it is set up, it works in the Claude mobile app too. The free Claude plan allows one custom connector.

  3. Link your Biya account

    Claude opens a Biya page. Enter your Biya handle or email. Biya sends a 6-digit code to your Biya chat on Telegram, Messenger or Slack. If you use only web chat, the code comes by email. Type it in.

  4. Choose how you approve

    The next page names Claude and what it may do. Pick “Ask me in my Biya chat every time”, or Approve in Claude with your own limits. Then ask Claude: “What's my Biya balance?”

Can Claude spend my money without asking me?
No. Every purchase waits for your tap: Confirm on the Biya card inside Claude, within your Approve in Claude limits, or your approval in your Biya chat. Claude cannot press Confirm.
What if someone tricks Claude, like a web page that tells it to buy airtime?
The purchase still needs your tap, and the card shows the real number and amount. A number you have not paid before says “First time paying this number”. If it is not yours, tap Cancel.
Does Claude see my card or bank details?
No. Purchases come from your Biya wallet only. Claude cannot pay by card and never sees your card or bank details.
What does Biya share with Claude?
Your wallet balance, your funding account number, your recent Biya transactions, your schedules, and the name on a meter or smart card you check.
I only use Biya web chat. Can I link Claude?
Yes. Your link code comes by email. When a purchase needs your approval outside Claude, the email has a link to a Biya approval page.
How do I change my limits?
In your Biya chat, open Settings, then Approve in Claude. Raising a limit needs a code we send to your email. Linking Claude again can only keep or lower your limits.
How do I unlink?
In your Biya chat, open Settings, then Manage Linked Apps (or type “linked apps”), and remove Claude. You can also remove the connector in Claude's settings. Removing your last link turns Approve in Claude off.
Does it cost extra?
No. Prices are the same as in Biya chat: airtime and data carry no Biya charge, and electricity and TV are ₦50 from your wallet.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Set it up once in Claude on the web or desktop, and it works in the Claude mobile app too.
Does it work in ChatGPT?
Not yet. Biya works in Claude today.
